H3-Horses Healing Heroes, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit for our servicemen and women past and present. Through equine assisted psychotherapy or equine facilitated learning the horses are used as a living tool to facilitate healing from combat trauma. Our vision is that every wounded warrior have access to these services. Horses can help our veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Injury, Traumatic-Brain Injury, and Military Sexual Trauma regain their emotional strength and confidence.

What People are Saying:

Arleen was amazing with the kids, and it was evident that a couple of them with some emotional issues in their lives were positively affected by the experience with the horses. Arleen is patient, soft-spoken, and very gentle. I would highly recommend Arleen and H3-Horses Healing Heroes to any Military Service Member, past or present, whether or not they believe themselves to be in need of this experience.

Not only have I discovered that I may learn how to relate and feel again, as I have seemingly numbed myself to since my active duty service, but the primary reason I have been able to do so has been my work with the horses. I have gained a great insight to my sense of self, a renewed ability to respect myself, and understand who I am and why I react in the ways that I do.

Working with the horses has been very soothing and therapeutic. It has helped me overcome some of my own obstacles. The facility is a very peaceful and serene place, which is perfect for anyone struggling with overcoming their own trauma. Most importantly, Arleen is an amazing, caring, kind-hearted person who is very easy to work with. I would recommend her program to anyone.
